BEGINNER'S GUIDE TO LAUNDRY
Instruction Manual
This manual simplifies the process of laundry into 9 steps for beginners. Each step is represented visually with an illustrated icon which are placed in sequence to create an small folded book. The book is paired with a packet of powder detergent to create a functional product. The aim of this project was to learn to translate bodies of text into icons.
PROCESS
The 11 icons created are based off of the same grid system to create harmony between the curves and angles of the icons. The chosen color palette uses blue to reflect the water while the complementary orange is inspired from the buttons of the washing mashine used to highlight important elements.
